high correlation between visits 1 and 2, as well as between 2 and 3. Further attempts at validation of our scale are left to ongoing research. As medical treatments advance and patients are liv- ing with chronic diseases, outcomes-based research will continue to increase in importance. Keloid scarring is a readily noticeable physical finding, but the true burden of the disease extends beyond just the physical. This head and neck keloid-specific QOL questionnaire proved to be reproducible, as well as appropriate for assessing both the physical and also the mental impact of keloid scarring, and has become part of our clinical practice to assess patient’s responses to the various treatment options available. CONCLUSION This head and neck keloid-specific QOL question- naire proved to be a reproducible method of reliably assessing QOL burden on patients with head and neck keloids.
