Calibration: Daily Biological Check • All cables should be checked for shorts • Earphone cushions should be checked for cracks or loss of resilience • Output should be checked for symmetry and linearity • Settings of amplifiers for sound field should be checked • Any unexplained or unusual results during the day should prompt a check

Calibration

• Biological and electroacoustical calibrations should be carefully documented • Dates, times, and manner of calibration should be recorded as well as specific results in electronic calibrations • Important for medical-legal cases • Contracts can be obtained from device suppliers to do complete checks on a regular basis
