An audiologist is a healthcare professional who diagnoses, manages and treats hearing loss and balance disorders. Audiologists have undergone extensive training and are capable of treating patients of all ages. Some specialize in treating children with hearing loss. •Currently requires a doctorate (Au.D.) •May have a Master's degree (if obtained prior to 2007)
