Pure Tone Masking Example What if the patient does not hear the beep/ does not respond with the masking noise? Increase tone by 5 dB and play another beep • In the previous example, you would play the beep at 60 dB and masking at 25 dB. Continue with plateau method. • Raise beep or masking until you get "3 jumps of 5" to find threshold
