- Carol R. Bradford, MD, MS, 2020-2021 President, May 2021 Bulletin
As plans began in 2020 for the 125th anniversary celebrations in 2021, the AAO-HNSF launched the Shaping Our Future Together: 125 Strong Campaign. Powell, MD • Education led by Richard V. Smith, MD • Leadership Development and Mentorship led by Kathleen L. Yaremchuk, MD, MSA • Wellness led by Dana M. Thompson, MD, MS Donors were able to select the specific areas of interest and projects they wished to contribute, and all monies received were allocated to the designated areas.
THE TRUSTED SOURCE FOR PATIENT INFORMATION
ENThealth.org debuted at the 2018 Annual Meeting & OTO Experience in Atlanta, Georgia. The Foundation’s dynamic patient health website—a consumer-facing online resource—was launched to position the AAO HNS/F as THE trusted source for patient-centered otolaryngology-head and neck surgery information, providing a much-sought-after roadmap for consumers navigating ENT health-related symptoms and conditions for themselves and their loved ones. The content was developed through a governance structure that included teams of clinician experts in their area of specialty, referred to as Consumer Health Development Groups (CHDGs). An ENThealth.org Executive Committee, composed of clinical experts, provided guidance and overview. In 2019 the ENThealth+ subscription program was launched available to members only. It provided access to ready-made content from ENThealth.org developed and vetted by clinical experts in the specialty. With a subscription, members could add content from ENThealth.org to their practice sites. It also included PDF, print friendly hand-outs for patients.
